Over 100 Free Rides
Say what? Over 100 free rides?
Actually, yes, over 100 free rides, or scholarships, that cover full tuition and basic fees will be awarded for spring and fall 2010 to students who enroll at The University of Texas School of Public Health. The US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) generously funded these scholarships, also called traineeships.
According to HRSA, schools of public health and other programs that provide graduate or specialized training in public health are funded to support traineeships that pay tuition, fees, or a living stipend for students in biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health, toxicology, nutrition, or maternal and child health.
To be eligible for a HRSA Traineeship: 1) Trainees must be US Citizens or non-citizen nationals and foreign nationals who possess a visa permitting permanent residence in the United States; 2) Trainees must be pursuing a graduate degree in an accredited school of public health or other eligible institution (in this case, the UT School of Public Health) and 3) For grants awarded on the basis of a formula, all trainees must meet the admission requirements specified in the approved grant application and those of the institution.
