Career Services Library

In conjunction with the University Of Texas School Of Public Health Library we provide our students with such resources as: literature on public health careers, career strategies, labor statistics, federal jobs, non-profit jobs, résumé writing, interviewing skills, job search skills, minority organizations and opportunities, and information on fellowships.

Career Counseling

Career Services offers career counseling for students providing them opportunities to learn how to plan and implement the most effective ways of seeking employment. Assistance in critiquing and writing of résumés and cover letters is also available.

Employment Resources

Career Services provides information via an online databank of currently available positions in the local, national, and international sector. Student Assistant opportunities within the University and the Texas Medical Center are posted on our website for such positions as: Graduate Assistants, Research Assistants, fellowships, and part-time positions.

Job-ops

Career Services Online System allows employers to post and manage job listings, view and make résumé referrals of qualified candidates. Students and alumni can search jobs, upload multiple résumés, cover letters, reference letters and send online résumé referrals to employers. Mentors can connect and make a positive contribution to SPH students by sharing their experiences and valuable information in the field of public health. Faculty members can be kept abreast of what's happening in career services, see what potential employers are recruiting SPH students and view what students are utilizing the system.
