HEADS UP is an example of successful partnership between a Health Science Center and the K-12 Community.
Spring Branch Independent School District administrators and teachers were instrumental in development of early modules and continue to be a key partner in development, dissemination, and related K-12 initiatives.
Formal evaluation of HEADS UP is coordinated through Project GRAD Houston. Project GRAD is dedicated to improving graduation rates and ensuring quality public school education for all at risk children in economically disadvantaged communiites.
The Health Museum provides access to science educators, a site for custom-designed field trips corrolated with HEADS UP curriculum, and a beautiful venue for special exhibits and events.
