Ibrahim Abbass, RPh, MS Ibrahim          

Ibrahim is a student in the Ph. D. Management program and holds Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy from the University of Sana’a in Yemen and a Master of Science in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Houston.  He has a variety of experience in pharmacy operations including work as a staff pharmacist in a community hospital and directed a pharmacy technician program at a community college in Yemen.  Topics including healthcare quality improvement techniques and their impact on financial and performance metrics and the role of information technology in improving clinical and economical outcomes are among his research interests.

Jeff is a student in the Ph.D. Management program, with a BBA from Eastern Kentucky University and an MS in Health and Hospital Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  He brings past experience as Chief Financial Officer of a variety of health care organizations to the Center’s work.  His research interests include health care fraud, the financing of indigent care, financial operations in critical access hospitals, and the management issues of physician-owned hospitals.  He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Healthcare Information Management Systems Society, the Heath Care Anti-Fraud Association, AcademyHealth, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
