Pfizer Grand Rounds Series

The UT School of Public Health in collaboration with Pfizer Inc. is hosting a Grand Round Series with a focus on the linkages between public health practice and research. The first presentation in the series titled "Policy-Maker Pens On The Ribs Of Kids: Integrating practice and advocacy with research on child health and hunger" will be presented by Dr. Mariana Chilton, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor at Drexel University and Principal Investigator Philadelphia GROW project. Workplace Injury Prevention - EOHS Seminar Series

Benjamin C. Amick, PhD, will present “How to Prevent and Control Musculoskeletal Injuries In the Workplace: A Synthesis of a Four Year Systematic Review Initiative”.  This review will present the results of 13 systematic reviews led by the Institute for Work & Health in Toronto Canada in collaboration with the faculty and students at the Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health.  The reviews represent the most comprehensive assessment of the intervention literature regarding the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries in the workplace and the prevention and management of work disability associated with musculoskeletal injuriesFor additional information please contact Maria Arias at (713) 500-9266 maria.arias@uth.tmc.edu or visit the EOHS Seminar Series Calendar.  Free Lunch for first 50 attendees!

EOHS Research Seminar Series

1st Annual Public Health Field Day

2008 Student Team Competition in Elder Abuse and Neglect
