Kristina D. Mena, MSPH, PhD, will present “Microbes in Space: An Astronaut Health Hazard?” The space shuttle environment - a semi-closed system with individuals occupying a small space - presents a scenario that has often resulted in microbial disease outbreaks in other settings.
