Dallas RC Announces the Launch of a New Public Health Doctoral Program!
The Dallas Regional Campus is pleased to announce that we are now offering a PhD in Epidemiology beginning Fall 2009 (application deadline March16th with all supporting materials by March 31st). The PhD program in Epidemiology focuses on the acquisition of in-depth knowledge about research methods in epidemiology with a strong background in biostatistics and data analysis. This set of skills prepares students for positions of leadership in academic research in public health, medical and health services research. The degree is offered through the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division. The curriculum for this PhD will be delivered via a combination of face-to-face, ITV, and online courses, all available in Dallas. The curriculum is comprised of courses in the major area of study (Epidemiology), one minor and one breadth area. Disciplinary minors and elective breadths must cover competencies as specified by the student committee.
