 Introduction to SAS

 Windows in SAS:

1.         Program window:

Type commands

2.         Log:

Shows commands you have run and errors made in running the commands.  Look at the log before looking at output you have created in case you made an error that could affect the output.

3.         Output: Shows output produced.  Save as follows:

·       Copy output into WORD or another word processing program

·       Save as Courier New, 8 or 10 point.

·       Delete the output in SAS by clicking on the symbol of a blank page.

Þ  Do this to avoid creating tons of output pages.

Þ  In addition, each new output produced will be the only one in the output window.

·       From WORD, edit the output as desired
