First Annual CITAR Workshop - Hanoi, Vietnam

CITAR's first annual international "Training Workshop on HIV/STI Prevention and Research" was presented at the Army Hotel conference facilities in central downtown Hanoi, Vietnam, From July 3 through July 7, 2006.

Five UTSPH faculty and three Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) Fellows participated in this weeklong workshop on AIDS research methods.  We chose 40 from 80 applicants, a mixture from academia, MOH and NGOs to include in this 40-hour course conducted during the first week of July 2006.

Over the 5 days, presentations were:

The students were outstanding and the workshop was received very well.
