Health Information System (CHIS) Community Information (St. Luke's
Episcopal Health Charities;57 counties in SE Texas )
CHIS contains maps that allow you to "drill down", as far as
to the census tract level in some cases but at least
to the county level in all cases, and obtain statistics
on the population of that area. Click on the link to the information you
need-- birth, death, or population-- to pull up maps and reports.

These profiles rank each county by quartiles for areas such as child health,
general living conditions, birth weights, etc.

The Portal to Texas History offers students and lifelong learners a digital

People 2000: Health Status Indicators by Texas Public Health Regions and
Race/Ethnicity, 1990-2000 (Texas Deparment of State Health Services;
