Application Process
Applicants to the Certificate in Public Health program must submit the following documents by October 1 for Spring admission, March 1 for Summer admission, and June 15 for Fall admission:
- Completed Application
- $30 Application Fee
- One official transcript that shows the equivalent of a Bachelor's or higher degree
- One letter of reference from a person qualified to assess your potential for success in the program (academic recommendations on official letterhead preferred)
- Scores from Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) taken within the last two years for applicants from countries where English is not the native language. TOEFL scores should be mail to the University of Texas Office of the Registrar code 6906 or 6907.
Transcripts and letter of reference must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar.
Fees
The Tuition and Fees Schedule provides a full description of costs. Please note - that as a student in the certificate program you are not eligible for financial aid from the UT School of Public Health.
Criminal Background Check
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston requires that a criminal background screening process be completed and submitted by all new students prior to enrollment for their first term of study at their respective schools. Accepted students who do not consent to a criminal background check or who fail to provide the report as required will not be able to enroll in the School of Public Health.
