Received a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Biology from Manhattan College of New York in 1973. He has more than 25 years of experience managing various trials such as HDFP, TAIM, NITRO-DUR, CARE, and SPOTRIAS. He has worked as a data analyst for the the HDFP, CARE and TAIM trials. In addition, he has had a wide range of responsibility directing various data processing and management operations. He also has directed the research administration of The University of Texas School of Public Health at Houston, reviewing all faculty and student research proposals, including budgets.
