Received his M.D. from the Timisoara University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Romania in 1991 and his master's degree in Biostatistics from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in 2004. He provides data analysis and writing support for ALLHAT publications. He previously worked as a family physician and as medical liaison for the Amoun Pharmaceutical Company in Romania and as a clinical research associate for the Cardiovascular Research Foundation in New York.
