Nutrition Education Grants
Calling all Health Professionals & Nutrition Educators...
Applications Must be Postmarked by March 31, 2006
The 3-A-Day of Dairy nutrition education grant program, to be implemented within the school environment, is designed to empower children ages 9-18 to be advocates of healthy eating by including three servings a day of milk, cheese or yogurt.

2006 Submission Procedures
Grants in the amount of $5,000 each will be awarded on a state/regional basis. Please download the Dairy Council Directory to find the person to contact for your state/region. All applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2006. Winners will be notified on or around May 19. Please note California, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are not participating in the 2006 grant program.

The Aetna Foundation will fund philanthropic initiatives focused on the following health care issues: Childhood Health, Obesity (including diabetes) and Oral Health, and Depression. Applications will be accepted starting February 28, 2006. Up to $2.9 million will be awarded. Eligible regions include Mid-Atlantic, North Central, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, and West. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with 501©(3) status.

Brown Foundation's current emphasis is on public education in Texas. It also focuses on community service projects that meet the needs of youth. The foundation accepts applications year-round.
