Austin Regional Campus

Arc building

The Austin Regional Campus was established in 2007 to offer graduate level training in public health to the Austin and central Texas region. The ARC offers a graduate Certificate in Public Health, a 16 hour program of study consisting of five courses covering the core disciplines of public health. The Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree started in fall 2008, the dual Master of Science in Social Work & MPH degree (MSSW-MPH), the Doctor in Public Health (DrPH) in Health Promotion, and the PhD in Epidemiology starts in fall 2009. The Austin Regional Campus offers a general MPH (no formal specialization) and has faculty members with research interests in Child and Adolescent Behavior and Epidemiology, Chronic Disease Prevention, and Public Health Policy. The UT School of Public Health is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) and has academic responsibility for the program.

Courses are offered onsite by resident faculty. Interactive video (ITV) courses are also available and originate from and connect all six of the school’s campuses. Students interested in learning more about the Austin regional campus academic programs may e-mail Maria Eva Fernandez, Academic Affairs Coordinator at austinregionalcampus@uth.tmc.edu or dialing 512-482-6176.
