1947: Enabling legislation approved by the Texas Legislature to establish a School of Public Health in Texas.
1967: Funding was approved by the Legislature and the decision was made to locate a School of Public Health in Houston.
1968: Reuel A. Stallones, PhD, was chosen as the first permanent dean of The University of Texas School of Public Health.
1969: First student, Lee Smith, PhD, was admitted and graduated. |
